Network Common Data Format (NetCDF) is a set of APIs, libraries and self-describing machine- independent data formats, commonly used in climatology, meteorology and oceanography applications for array-oriented data. NetCDF is used as an input/output format for many scientific software applications, as well as for archival storage and data exchange.


Useful for spatial data.
