Part 1 Exam

  • 40 simple multiple choice questions
    • Each question has 1 point
    • Each question has 5 possible answers. Only 1 is CORRECT.
  • This is a closed-book test. No reference material is allowed throughout the exam.
  • 60 minutes
  • 55% to pass (>22 points)
  • Open Book: No
  • The Prometric tool allows you to mark the question you want to review later by clicking on the “MARK” button. This allows you to answer all the questions and review those in doubt at the end.


Part 2 Exam

  • 8 complex scenario questions
    • Each question has up to 5 points
    • Graded-scored questions
      • The CORRECT answer scores 5 points.
      • The SECOND BEST answer scores 3 points.
      • The THIRD BEST answer scores 1 point.
      • The DISTRACTOR (the incorrect answer) scores zero 0 points.
  • This is an Open Book Test and clicking on the “REFERENCE” button while taking the examination at a Prometric test center will give you access to a searchable pdf version of the TOGAF 9 specification.
  • 90 minutes
  • 70% to pass (>28 points)
  • Open Book: Yes
  • The Prometric tool allows you to mark the question you want to review later by clicking on the “MARK” button. This allows you to answer all the questions and review those in doubt at the end.

The Open Group apparently has a database of ~1000 questions which is used to generate the questions that you will take.
