CSC grows the "pure-play" services capability by buying HPE Enterprise Services unit. This creates a combined unit with USD26B revenue.

HPE has tried to turn around its services division by aggressively reducing its headcount. HPE will be larger partner in the new entity by revenue and headcount but the branding of the combined entities has yet to be confirmed.

Meg Whitman and CSC chair, president and CEO Mike Lawrie want us to know is that the combined entity will be a “pure-play services company”.
